In 1997 Tange of Japan was sold to Shenzhen Tange of Taiwan and later most production was moved to Taiwan. In the 1980s, more high-end mountain bikes sported a Tange sticker than of any other tubing manufacturer, as mountain bike mass production was moved to Taiwan and strong relationships were established with their neighbors and US partners.
